Creating Custom Labor Guides

Syrus Labor Scheduler 2010 provides a method to further modify labor guides creating using ether of the Wendy's Plug-ins or a blank guide included in this release.

Before you Start

Review the hours of operation for your sites. Hours of operation are managed by your Syrus Account Representative based on your business administrators direction. In the event that hours of operation need to be changed for a site or series of sites, your Syrus Account Representative will need to make the appropriate changes before you can create a labor guide for that site. Additionally, you will need to be aware of the store layout and be knowledgeable of the productivity enhancements at each site. By default, users of Syrus Labor Scheduler do not have access to the enterprise guide tools. You will need to contact your Syrus Account Representative to have access granted to this feature. Labor guides can be be created from scratch or from an available guide plug in.If an an existing guide plug in is used, guide tables are created and may be modified.

Default Guide Tables

There are 5 default guide tables created when an empty guide template is used. Each table allows for sales graduations, guide value and effective day part. Below are definitions of the basic table and day part.

NOTE ABOUT SALES: The Sales From and Sales From values need to be configured based on the lookup type. For example, the Service Sales To and Sales From are Weekly. Therefore, in order for the Admin, Closing and Open sales (which are daily sales) to correspond to the weekly value, the weekly sales value will need to be divided by 7 days. It is recommended that numerical precision is maintained to minimize variation from rounding.

Day part Assignment (From Event, To Event)

Each default guide table will need to be assigned a day part. The day part assignment governs what sales are used to look up the guide value. Below are the default day parts. NOTE: the hours of operation defined in your store setup will be used when calculating the values.

Understanding Day Parts

Below is a graphical representation of a store that is open from 7:00 am to 2:00 am. It serves a breakfast menu from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and closes the dining room at 10:00 pm. The shaded areas represent what Sales From and Sales To dayparts will be used to lookup guide values.
